From the Bishop ...

In the beginning when God created the heavens and the earth…God saw everything that he had made, and indeed, it was very good (Genesis 1:1, 31).  
 
I am old enough to remember the first earth day, April 22, 1970, and the push by young people across this country to do something for the environment and get involved with matters of ecology. The focus back then was on oil spills and raw sewage, pesticides, the loss of wilderness, and all the trash that littered the sidewalks, parks and freeways.
 
As I write these words we are about to head to beautiful Door County with the fall colors near peak and the waves from Green Bay and Lake Michigan still splashing the shoreline. Pastors and deacons will gather for the annual theological conference, this year themed, “Let the Whole Creation Cry.” Continue Reading

Festival of Gratitude and Interfaith Potluck - November 19, 2018
The 9th Annual (free) Festival of Gratitude will be held November 19 at 7 p.m. at The Grand in Oshkosh. Residents from different ethnic and religious communities will gather and express gratitude in song, word and dance, and silence. This year's festival will be preceded by the Interfaith Potluck at 5p.m. at the Masjid Qamar Oshkosh Mosque (300 N. Eagle Street, Oshkosh).

VIA de CRISTO Information
VIA de CRISTO is a highly structured three day weekend designed to strengthen and renew the faith of Christian people and bring them to a new awareness of living in God's grace. It is a combined effort of lay people and clergy toward renewal of the church. Some congregations have found Via de Cristo to be a positive influence in the congregation. 

1.        If you're a pastor and past participant in a Via de Cristo weekend, and you know that you are not on the current Spiritual Director list for either Northern Light or Sonrise, please contact Pastor Rich Block to be added.
2.        If you're interested in knowing more about VDC and possibly participating in a weekend retreat, also contact Pastor Rich Block .
