ECU Health CareLink users now have the ability to add a patient's insurance coverage in CareLink. For step-by-step instructions on how to add this information, access the tip sheet here.

For ECU Health providers with Epic access:

When insurance coverage is submitted via CareLink, it will crossover into Epic and be visible in the 'Possible Coverages' section of a patient's registration. For more information, please review the Possible Ins Coverage(s) tip sheet.

ECU Health Orthopedics adds new providers at both Greenville locations

We are pleased to welcome five new providers to the ECU Health Orthopedics team:

Jeffrey Garrett, MD - Orthopedic Surgery, Adult Reconstruction

Michael Firtha, DO - Pediatric Orthopedic Surgery

Sterling Kramer, DO - Pediatric Orthopedic Surgery

Shelby Drittler, PA-C - Orthopedic Surgery

Eric Hardy, PA-C - Orthopedic Hand Surgery

Additionally, Victoria Babson, PA-C has joined the team at ECU Health Orthopedics and Fracture Care.

To refer a patient, send a request through Epic or CareLink to VPG-ORTHOPEDICS - GREENVILLE or fax your request to 252-847-1009. Same-day appointments are available for conditions requiring immediate attention.

ECU Health hospitals receive Get With The Guidelines® awards, Mission: Lifeline® award

Greenville, N.C. – The American Heart Association/American Stroke Association has awarded all nine ECU Health hospitals Get With The Guidelines® achievement awards and a Mission: Lifeline® award for their work in treating stroke, diabetes, cardiac arrest, heart attack and heart failure.

Starting this month, the East Carolina University departments of Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy will host Pirates™ "POWER" Over Parkinson's: A PWR!Moves® Exercise Class – a series of 16 60-minute exercise classes – at the ECU Health Sciences Campus. National APP Week is celebrated annually during the fourth week of September – this year, from Sept. 25-29.
