National ECW Officials Visit the Episcopal Diocese of Taiwan
In a journey marked by grace, hospitality, and shared faith, Lisa Bortner, National President of the Episcopal Church Women (ECW), recently visited the Episcopal Church in Taiwan. During her ten-day visit, Bortner expressed heartfelt gratitude for the vitality and spirit she witnessed throughout the Diocese.
She was accompanied by Ginny Guzman-Walsh, Province VIII ECW Representative to the National Board, and the Rev. Canon Bruce Woodcock, the Episcopal Church’s Partnership Officer for Asia and the Pacific. Warmly welcomed by clergy and lay leaders alike, the National ECW delegation engaged deeply with ECW ministries across the Diocese.

Attendees will gain an understanding of why Robert’s Rules of Order is used for effective and efficient meetings. The session will review member and officer roles, rights and privileges, demonstrate the proper form for making motions, review rules of debate and decorum, and examine common misunderstandings.

The Episcopal Church Women of the Episcopal Church of Saint John the Baptist of Orlando Florida, collected 373 pairs of men's, women's, and children's socks for the Orlando Union Rescue Mission as their 2025 community outreach project. The Orlando Union Rescue Mission (OURM) is "dedicated to bringing the hungry, hurting, and homeless to new life, new goals, and a new future in Christ." Since 1948, OURM has served Central Florida's homeless community by providing essential services such as food, shelter, and clothing, along with rehabilitative programs including education, job training, Christian counseling, and case management. These efforts aim to help individuals achieve self-sufficiency and foster a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

Episcopal Church Women Diocesan Presidents Virtual Meetings
As promised during Triennial, the National ECW President, Lisa Bortner, is offering two dates where ECW Diocesan Presidents can come together to discuss how the National ECW can better serve the Diocesan ECWs and to also facilitate a place where we can gather to exchange ideas. Diocesan ECW Presidents may attend either day.
Meeting: ECW Diocesan Presidents Meeting
Date: Monday, June 23 at 6:00pm (Central Time)
Alternate Date: Saturday, June 28 at 10:00am (Central Time)
Purpose: Discuss what’s working, what’s not working, and how the National ECW can provide support.

Standing Together Against Violence: The Girls’ Friendly Society Leads the Charge
The Girls' Friendly Society (GFS) has long been a beacon of hope, empowerment, and advocacy for girls and women worldwide. Now, with the launch of the "Orange Days" campaign, GFS is amplifying its voice to bring awareness to the urgent and persistent issue of violence against girls and women and the collective refusal to tolerate it any longer.
Every 25th of the month, members of GFS across the nation and around the globe unite by wearing orange, a vibrant symbol of solidarity and determination.
