BUSINESS RETENTION & EXPANSION UPDATES

EDAWN Primary Company, SendCutSend, one of the country’s fastest-growing advanced rapid-manufacturing companies, will open its third Northern Nevada and fifth U.S.-based facility in February. The Reno-based custom manufacturer, which also operates facilities in Texas and Kentucky, expects to hire about 200 additional workers across the company in the coming year. The latest expansion comes less than a year after SendCutSend opened a CNC-focused facility in Reno. That operation, launched in March 2025, already has reached capacity. Its growth necessitated creation of the new stand-alone facility for Finishing Services.

Business Builders Update:

EDAWN welcomed our newest Business Builders volunteers at a Holiday Coffee Gathering hosted at Dark Shot Coffee. The morning focused on building connections and sharing how volunteers support local Primary Companies and Northern Nevada’s economy. We are grateful for the time and expertise our Business Builders bring to supporting sustainable economic development in our region.

Upcoming Volunteer Training:

The next volunteer training session is scheduled for February 18, 2026. We look forward to welcoming new and returning participants. For more information on how to become involved, click the button below.

EDAWN’s Business Retention and Expansion Team is committed to the success of our region’s primary companies. We are here to assist you by providing resources, guidance, and the support you may need when facing challenges and opportunities to grow your business.

MAJOR INVESTOR OF THE MONTH

Micone Staffing Resources, Inc. is excited to announce the launch of Karma Careers, a job posting platform designed to fix what traditional job boards get wrong.

With Karma Careers, employers don’t pay to post a job—you only pay when you make the hire. Every job posting includes a dedicated recruiter who actively works the role by managing the posting, screening candidates, conducting outreach, and helping move the right talent forward. It’s the visibility of a job board combined with the hands-on support of a real recruiter—an actual person, not AI—saving time, reducing hiring costs, and delivering better hiring results.

While Micone Staffing Resources is locally rooted in Northern Nevada and Las Vegas, the firm proudly serves clients nationwide. For more than 25 years, Micone has connected exceptional talent with industry-leading companies across construction, logistics, manufacturing, healthcare, accounting and finance, technology, administrative, and executive leadership roles.
