XCF Global Capital, Inc. is a company operating in the clean energy sector developing sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) recipes. The company will add 108 net new positions with their investment.

Octillion Power Systems is a global leader in energy storage solutions, manufacturing custom-made EV batteries for passenger cars, commercial vehicles, and grid applications. Their new facility in Reno will be adding 25 jobs to the market.

Scaleworx provides cloud management, IT consulting and security services to start-up companies as they are quickly growing in the tech ecosystem. The company has expanded their professional service team into Sparks and will add 10+ new jobs into the market.

During the last 12 months, the BREW team has visited 145 companies, 128 of whom have been assisted by our team. The companies visited are projecting the addition of 365 new employees in the coming year, and the team has made 119 introductions to education providers and other businesses. ENTREPRENEURIAL UPDATES

Apply to pitch at our regional competition for Startup World Cup. As part of Reno Startup Week, and in partnership with Elevate Reno and Pegasus Tech Ventures, 10 startups will take the stage on Wednesday, September 18th to pitch their companies. Each startup will have 2 minutes to pitch, followed by Q&A from a panel of judges. The winner of our regional event will go on to compete for $1,000,000 at Startup World Cup's Grand Finale in San Francisco, October 2-4 at Hilton Union Square. The deadline to apply is Friday, July 26th! 

Join us at Gener8tor’s gBETA Showcase on June 27th. Four local startups will be wrapping up their 7-week program by pitching their companies to a live audience. Welcome Sahan Samarakody Mudiyanselage! Sahan will be with EDAWN as a summer intern until mid-August helping the ED team plan for Reno Startup Week. He brings experience in event coordination and project management, and we're so excited to have him on board! Sahan is an international transfer student from Sri Lanka studying Information Systems at UNR. He is currently a senior and expected to graduate in Fall 2024. In the future, he’s looking to start a career in Project Management and eventually open a Sri Lankan restaurant in Reno.
