BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT UPDATES

The Business Development team is pleased to announce 1061 jobs for September, an outcome of three significant projects:

Lyten, a super materials application company, founded in San Jose, CA in 2015, announced plans to develop a 125-acre site at the Reno AirLogistics Park at Stead Airport. Lyten plans to build the world’s first lithium-sulfur battery gigafactory. The company holds significant intellectual property, pioneering the discovery and applicability of 3-D graphene. The project commitments will exceed $1Billion in capital expenditures. At full capacity, the facility will produce up to 10 GWh of Lithium-Sulfer batteries annually and employ 1,000 professionals.

AREP (American Real Estate Partners) alongside Power House is leading the industry with plans to establish new IT infrastructure and hyperscale data centers in Storey County. A build-to-suit, 900,000 square foot, state-of-the-art facility, is planned at TRI-Center. The tenant will employ 50 highly skilled professionals, and the project is estimated to spend up to $250 million in capital expenditures.

CENTRA Digital Interconnect mission is to accelerate digital services through a purpose-built interconnection platform. CENTRA's existing data center operates Reno’s carrier hotel, inside the Chase building in downtown Reno.

CENTRA is expanding its Reno operations by building a second data center, to occupy a 19,000 square foot building on Keystone Avenue. CENTRA announced a $25 million dollar capital expenditure commitment that will add 11 new high-skilled positions.
