Last week, EDAWN hosted a special night at the ballpark for our local Entrepreneurial Support Organizations (ESOs). Representatives from many different groups, including GOED, StartupNV, UNR, and several others, joined us for an evening of baseball, conversation, and connection.

This gathering was about more than cheering on the home team, it was about strengthening the ties between the organizations that work every day to support entrepreneurs across Northern Nevada. We’re grateful to all who came out, and we look forward to continuing to build momentum together, both on and off the field.

MAJOR INVESTOR OF THE MONTH

Sierra Pacific Credit Union: Local. Loyal. Maybe Just a Little Weird.

Since 1936, Sierra Pacific Credit Union has been Northern Nevada’s trusted financial partner, serving members across Nevada and Arizona with a focus on people, not profit. What sets SPCU apart is our personal approach—you’ll always reach a real person when you call, and our team goes above and beyond to know our members by name and help them reach their goals.

We offer a full suite of financial services, including consumer and business lending, checking and savings accounts, mortgages, credit cards, and digital banking solutions. As a not-for-profit cooperative, our earnings go back to members through better rates, lower fees, and community reinvestment.

Beyond financial services, Sierra Pacific is deeply committed to our community. From sponsoring youth programs like Good Grades and school partnerships to investing in local events and small businesses, we’re here to strengthen the places where our members live and work.

No monthly account fees. No balance transfer fees. Real humans answering the phone. Even “bribing” kids to do well in school. To some, that might seem a little weird. To us, it just makes sense. At SPCU, you’re more than an account number—you’re part of our community. Learn more at www.sierrapacificfcu.org.
