Dear EDCAR Members,

Earlier today Governor Gavin Newsom issued a press release that modified the existing state order restrictions for multiple counties in the state. I wanted to issue a quick note regarding the order and how that impacts El Dorado County, specifically the Association office. Please see the information below:
Effective July 13, 2020, ALL counties must close indoor operations in these sectors:

  • Dine-in restaurants
  • Wineries and tasting rooms
  • Movie theaters
  • Family entertainment centers (for example: bowling alleys, miniature golf, batting cages and arcades)
  • Zoos and museums
  • Cardrooms

Additionally, bars, brewpubs, breweries, and pubs must close all operations both indoor and outdoor statewide.

Counties that have remained on the County Monitoring List for 3 consecutive days will be required to shut down the following industries or activities unless they can be modified to operate outside or by pick-up. (El Dorado County is not currently on this list)

  • Fitness centers
  • Worship services
  • Protests
  • Offices for non-essential sectors
  • Personal care services, like nail salons, body waxing and tattoo parlors
  • Hair salons and barbershops
  • Malls
Based on the county variance the Association office will remain open Monday through Friday, with restrictions in place. If you plan on visiting the Association office please bear in mind that El Dorado County may be placed on the county monitoring list in the future, and we may be required to work from home at any given time. That being said, the restrictions that are currently in place are below:

  1. Face Coverings per state guidance are required.
  2. Social Distancing practices and floor markings inside the office must be followed.
  3. No more than 2 members allowed in the office at any given time.
  4. Hand Sanitizer is available at the Association office for members at entry.
  5. Pick-up and contactless options are available, please call 530-676-0161 or email

If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to reach out to me directly. Have a great afternoon, and stay safe.
