July 2022 Newsletter
Save the Date: August 22nd
We hope the summer is bringing lots of rejuvenation, exploration, and relaxation to your summer. We're excited to kick off the 2022-2023 school year next month! The first day of school is August 24th!

On Monday, August 22nd, from 6:00pm - 7:30pm in The View at LHS, EDGE staff will host a back-to-school night for students and parents. For students, this will be a great opportunity to connect with returning and new EDGE students, play games, meet teachers, and acclimate to the EDGE space. We're also inviting parents to join us for informational sessions about learning in EDGE, ideas for supporting your student, and new information for the 22-23 school year.

Student Schedules for the 22-23 School Year
EDGE schedules print in a unique format, so we wanted to provide you with some information that can help you read your schedule.

Here are a few tips:
You will attend your out-of-EDGE classes during the designated hours on your LHS or LNHS 1-8 schedule. For example, if your schedule indicates Orchestra during the 3rd hour, you would report to Orchestra during the 3rd hour. The hours that indicate EDGE show when you report to The View for EDGE classes.

The EDGE schedule is a listing of the classes you are enrolled in during EDGE time. Your EDGE teachers will work with you each week to schedule your EDGE learning sessions aligned with your courses.

If you have questions about how your schedule works for EDGE, we will be able to answer questions during the August 22nd event and on the first days of school!
EDGE Staff Attends Big Bang 2022
EDGE staff attended the Big Bang 2022 annual conference hosted by Big Picture Learning, and are excited to bring back a variety of ideas to enhance villages, mastery learning, project-based experiences, and real world learning opportunities in EDGE. Year 2 of EDGE is going to bring incredible experiences to our students. We are grateful for this professional learning experience and the impact it will have on our students!
EDGE Website is Moving
In the upcoming month, EDGE will be moving to a new website! While the site is under construction, you can continue to access the previous EDGE webpage HERE.
