September 6th - Pharis Farm
Guest speakers discussed how terracing, which is present on the farm, can reduce soil erosion. Another speaker discussed how to bridge the gap between science and humanities by telling stories everyone can relate to. While there students performed maintenance and pruned the apple orchard trees.
September 6th - EPiC Elementary
Studio 2 parents were asked to identify a word that described their child. EDGE students brainstormed with the Studio 2 students to identify ways to visually represent their words in a portrait.
At an event hosted by the Midwest Trust Center at Johnson County Community College, FineRhyme spoke to students in the language of hip-hop and offered real-life solutions for the ecological and equity impacts of climate change.
