🌟 WHAT IS NEW AT EDGE? 🌟
Dear EDGE members,
Fresh from our EDGE Americas Retreat, we’re excited to keep the momentum going with a range of upcoming online and in-person opportunities to connect, learn, and collaborate. In this update, you’ll find ways to stay engaged and continue exploring how, together, we can drive meaningful change across philanthropy.
We’re also pleased to share that our expanded team is settling in well, and that we recently held our first meeting with the new board. With renewed energy and strengthened leadership, we look forward to supporting our community and advancing our shared mission in the months ahead.

Also, the London Climate Action Week just took place. Last Thursday, June 25th, EDGE community gathered to connect and take a moment to be in community!!

On June 22, EDGE joined WINGS, HRFN, and The Collective in co-convening Crisis to Solutions: Coordinating Capital, Courage and Collective Action in London.
Together, participants explored how to unlock and align resources, strengthen funding infrastructure, and support the movements already building alternative economic models, climate solutions, mutual aid, and collective care strategies.

The Impact Measurement and Funding Movement PODs meetings continue to develop their work.
The Impact Measurement POD is focusing on a communications-oriented outcome, exploring the origins of MEL and how it has become the dominant framework in philanthropy for understanding accountability, learning, and impact.
The Funding Movement POD is working along two main lines: revisiting and strengthening existing risk frameworks and designing a survey for the EDGE database to better understand how members define movements and allocate funding to them.

We recently held an insightful EDGEy Wednesday session on Strategic Foresight, hosted by ActionAid Denmark and MOVE. You can find a recap here, and we encourage you to reach out to ActionAid Denmark if you would like to continue the conversation. We hope this is just the beginning of an important ongoing dialogue.

Pawanka Fund has recently launched its 2025 Annual Report, ‘The Fire that Never Goes Out’, containing the stories, milestones, lessons learned, and impact of Pawanka Fund’s work with Indigenous Peoples and communities around the world.
- In May, Disability Rights Fund co-hosted a webinar, "Mind the Margins, Max the Impact: Finding the way to inclusive, intersectional climate philanthropy", with Impatience Earth and Global Greengrants Fund. This was a funder-only webinar, so they agreed to share the recording with the EDGE membership but asked that you not share it beyond funders: watch the recording! The passcode is: Y6THxze@

The Rights at Risk Resource Library by AWID is a living collection of resources that supports feminist movements, policy-makers, and allies in understanding and resisting fascisms, fundamentalisms, and anti-rights trends, while strengthening collective strategies to defend rights and advance justice.
- The Social Change Nest is gathering evidence on how fiscal hosting is understood, used, and accepted by funders. By completing this survey, you’ll help build a stronger evidence base on how widely fiscal sponsorship is understood.

From Poison for Profit to the Power of a United Front: A Funders’ Guide to Understanding the Toxic Fossil Economy
We’re excited to share a new zine for funders developed by the Center for International Environmental Law (CIEL) and the Health & Environment Funders Network, in collaboration with EDGE Funders Alliance and many other allies committed to building economic alternatives.
This resource offers a systems-level look at the fossil fuel economy, its ongoing expansion, and its impacts across climate, health, food systems, and justice. It aims to support funders and movement actors in aligning strategies and accelerating a just transition.
