E DGE BOARD APPLICATIONS DUE TOMORROW
WE WANT YOU!

As announced a few weeks ago. our annual EDGE Board nomination period ends tomorrow at 4 pm , and we'd love to have you apply if you're interested. Once again, here are some quick FAQS you might find helpful:

Q: Am I eligible to apply for the EDGE Board?
A:  If you are a current EBDA member in good standing, you are eligible!

Q: What would be expected of me as an EDGE Board member?
A:  Board responsibilities are described in our Oath of Office ( click here ). In terms of time commitment, the main obligations include monthly board meetings, service on one of our EBDA committees (which meet monthly), and EBDA ambassadorship.

Q: Am I qualified to be an EDGE Board member?
A:  The Board Nominating Committee will consider applications from all eligible candidates, and will be looking for level of past and present participation in the EBDA (including committees, events, etc.), specific interest in serving on the board, and background experience lending well to board service.

Q: How do I apply to be considered for the Board?
A:  Please fill out the board application ( click here ), and then email it back to us at info@edgedistrict.org before 4 pm on Tuesday, June 30, 2020. That's it!

Q: What happens after that?
A:  The Board Nominating Committee will meet in early July to review the applications, and then decide the final slate of nominations to place on the board election ballot. Those selected for the ballot will be notified. Then the board election ballot will be sent out to all current EBDA members for voting in late July. Election winners will be announced at the EBDA Annual Meeting in September.






Do you have questions about:

the current state of emergency in St. Pete, recommended practices, required safeguards, and services available?

• the City's Restart St. Pete initiatives, Fighting Chance Fund, and other economic development opportunities?

• Codes compliance and enforcement during the pandemic?

These and other questions will be answered in a Zoom Q&A workshop with City officials on Tuesday, July 14th, from 3:00 pm—4:00 pm . All EDGE businesses are welcome to attend, free, but advance registration is required. We recommend that all business owners or managers tune in. And if you have a specific question you'd like us to have our speakers answer, please email it to us in advance at info@edgedistrict.org.

NEED MASKS?

We've requested deliveries of plain cloth masks in bulk for our businesses from the City's Emergency Management Dept. We handed out the first delivery last week, and are expecting more this week or next. If your business is in need of masks, please email us at info@edgedistrict.org and we will drop some to you!
