EDGE URBAN MARKET PLACE
OPENING FEBRUARY 5
The EDGE Collective introduces the EDGE Urban Market Place on the 1100 block parking lot between 1st Ave. S. and Central Ave. Set to launch February 5, this new market place will roll out in two phases. It will provide an exciting activation of the lot until the permanent EDGE Collective development (with boutique hotel, courtyard, and food hall) can begin.
Phase One (layout on right) will include two 40-foot cargo containers, each with curated food & beverage concepts by noted local chefs, and courtyard seating. During the Feb. 5 launch weekend, a full schedule of Super Bowl-related activities are planned. They include an NFL-celebrity hosted watch party on a jumbo LED screen, live music (incl. Grammy winner Robert Vilera & Vilera Son), family activities, Saturday Night party with notable radio hosts, farmer's market, local artists, and vendor booths for local businesses. Vendor opportunities are available. See details below.
After the Super Bowl, weekend activities will be ongoing at the Market Place. Then, Phase Two (layout on left) is expected to launch in late April. It will expand on Phase One with two additional 40-foot cargo containers for curated food & beverage, six smaller containers for retail, and 12 vendor kiosks. The Market coordinators will offer opportunities to local businesses to occupy those additional market spaces.
