Annual Fundraiser - Inclusion Fusion Register Now - Limited Space! 

Inclusion Fusion 2013 will be held on September 5th at Sodo Park. There are just a few seats left, so make sure you register today!

On October 12th, EDI will be co sponsoring "Leadership Together" along with ACRS, Ascend, Group Health and other organizations. It will be held at the Asian Counseling and Referral Service (ACRS) from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Please read Al's Column for more details.

Alex Roehrig, Hispanic Leadership Discovery, Class of 2012,  has been promoted to Level 4 Systems Engineer in Airline Support Engineering at The Boeing Company
 
"EDI helped me with this advancement by exposing me to applying emotional intelligence in my interactions with our customers and with my colleagues. This has increased my confidence as I lead teams to solve complex problems."
 
Erwin Onofre, Asian Leadership Discovery, Class of 2011,  has been promoted to Senior Financial Analyst supporting the Boeing Executives' flight operations at The Boeing Company       
 
 
  "My EDI experience as both a participant and co-chair has been truly invaluable for my career at Boeing.  It has instilled in me refined leadership, communication, and empathy skills.  The EDI community fuels my passion for continuous improvement, for which I am grateful for and will carry with me to Chicago."

2013 Class Community Corner
 
One element of the EDI program that reinforces the learning around community involvement and team building is the completion of a community project for a non-profit agency whereby the participants can make a difference for a non-profit organization while practicing their skills in a safe learning environment.  

 

This year our classes our assisting over 10 non-profit organization in the Greater Puget Sound and Greater Portland area. This month we are featuring Kin On's Grandparent's Day Campaign:

The EDI team assisted Kin On with creating the Grandparent's day Campaign video which features some of our 2013 participants.  Click here to find out more information about the campaign and about how you can support it.


2014 Tateuchi Scholarship  
 
For the fifth year the Tateuchi Foundation will provide a scholarship to an emerging API leader who currently works for a nonprofit organization. The scholarship is for $3850 which will cover the full tuition for EDI's Discovery program.
