Alumni on the Move

Congratulations to EDI Alumni:

Keiko Abe, Leadership Navigation,
Class of 2008, is now the Emerging Markets DTC Digital Commerce Director at Nike,Inc.

"Specific to the role I just accepted in Emerging Markets, EDI deepened my understanding of cultural values and the influences they can have on our values and ultimately our behaviors. They are so deeply ingrained that we are many times unaware they are a driving force behind our behaviors and actions. In the Emerging Markets I am working with teams from Brazil to Korea so the importance of cultural sensitivity is key and EDI helped me understand the importance of respecting that."

Marci Nakano, Asian Leadership Discovery - Puget Sound,  Class of 2005, became a member of the Rotary Club of Seattle.

"For me, joining Seattle Rotary is a way to practice all those lessons we learn from EDI - stretch outside your comfort zone,  grow your network and give back to the community.  What an amazing opportunity that we as EDI alums have to join the largest Rotary in the world.  I invite other EDI alums to come join me at a meeting!"

Leakhena Tan, Asian Leadership Discovery, Current Participant,  has been promoted to Finance and Planning Manager for the 737 program at The Boeing Company.

"EDI helped with the advancement by providing me with the tools needed to help me build my confidence and prepare me to be an effective leader. It gave me the courage to step up and into the leadership role."

If you have received a promotion/award or know of an Alumni who did, please email Rebecca at rebecca@ediorg.org
