It has been a great start to the school year. Thanks for the partnership and support. Next week we begin schedule of services. Your homeroom teacher will send you an updated schedule that includes music, art and gym. Advanced Academics services will beginning as well.

I am very excited to be presenting to you all on Townhall Tuesday this coming Tuesday, September 14th from 6-7pm. This will be a hybrid format, meaning you will be able to come in-person to the Highlands Art Room or connect virtually through google meeting. (see details below)

This is our annual State of the School Update. I will be sharing all the hard work that is happening at Highlands. Updates include: academic progress, social emotional focus areas, professional learning and development of our amazing teachers as well as exciting developments in outdoor nature-based learning and exploration and environmental learning.

Please join me! There will be a time for questions facilitated by our fabulous PTO presidents. I am looking forward to sharing Highlands with you in detail on Tuesday Night!

Meet your new

Assistant Principal for EEVP

Hello Highland’s EEVP families! I am thrilled to be officially named your Assistant Principal. I have been working in education since 1998 and have been a part of the Edina district as the Digital Learning Specialist for the past four years. It is my honor to get to work on behalf of your students as we strive to thrive on our virtual pathway.

The Virtual Pathway will present some unique challenges, but also some unique opportunities. We are going to grow as a community of learners from our youngest aged students to the adults supporting those students. This is quite a year - and quite an adventure. It’s going to be GREAT!

Please do not hesitate to reach out with questions/concerns or feedback. And as your newly appointed Assistant Principal I have my first request. Please respond to the “First Weeks Feedback” form so we can better know how things are going for your family as we get this year started.

Thank you

Sean Beaverson

We want to know what you think!

Do you have 1 minute to tell us what you think?
