W Encourager Header
Welcome to EFC-ER's Weekly Encourager. We trust that this will become a bright spot each week in your emails. The purpose of the Weekly Encourager is to provide up-to-date information about region-wide events, prayer requests, and helpful resources from the local churches. We will close each email with a quick quote and/or survey to gather helpful resources from leaders to share with our wider Friends family.

Keeping Prayer a High Priority
We trust that every church is sharing these prayer requests within their local prayer community. Here are this week's requests:

1 -  Remember Wayne and Regina Evans as they travel to visit our missionaries in Europe this month.
2 - Please keep the family of Jim Meyers in your prayers, who passed away Wednesday morning. Jim was a life-long member and elder at Portsmouth First Friends in Virginia and worked at Hampton First Friends.

Julie Martin joined the EFC-ER staff early in 2014, serving as secretary for Chris Jackson.  Julie was a vital part of our staff with a willingness to go the extra mile and serve as needed.  As of August, Julie is returning home full-time and will no longer be at the World Outreach Center.  She and husband Jim are expecting their third daughter in November.  Thank you, Julie, and may our Lord bless you and your growing family as you continue in His service.  We will miss you.

On June 22nd - June 24th, Orange Friends Church in Lewis Center, Ohio, hosted the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) Sports Power Camp. It was a great week! They had 85 in attendance, and the best part was that at least 17 children raised their hands to accept Christ as their Savior!

Mini Camp Update

Mini Camp campers played Capture the Flag and went canoeing.  They practiced their archery skills, and learned to rely on one another by doing trust falls.

Campers also enjoyed playing water games to cool off.

Continue to pray for the Camp Gideon leadership and staff as they head home and reflect on what God has done.
