W Encourager Header
Welcome to EFC-ER's Weekly Encourager. We trust that this will become a bright spot each week in your emails. The purpose of the Weekly Encourager is to provide up-to-date information about region-wide events, prayer requests, and helpful resources from the local churches. We will close each email with a quick quote and/or survey to gather helpful resources from leaders to share with our wider Friends family.
There will not be an edition of the Weekly Encourager the week of July 22nd due to Yearly Meeting. We hope you enjoy a week of fellowship and ask that you keep us in your prayers during this time of ministry.  Post pictures and comments on social media with the tag #efcerym2015 and see if your pictures appear in the next Weekly Encourager!

Challenge Camp 2 Update

Campers  learned what it means to live in Christian community through camp classics like the low ropes course and Capture the Flag, but also through cabin devotions, serving together, and even horseback riding.

They were able to serve with youth from Salineville at their park and churches.

Burundi Evangelical Friends Church in Louisville, KY
In the 1990's families from our Burundi Evangelical Friends fled from Africa due to problems in their country.  Some gathered in Louisville, Kentucky to worship together. On Sunday, July 12th, we welcomed the new group into Eastern Region. Pastor Rusty Savage and a team from
Winona Friends have come along side them for the past several months to acclimate them to our group. Over 40 people from Winona came to support our brothers and sisters.  The opening service included lively music from a children's choir, welcome of other supportive  congregations,
messages of encouragement, and a time of fellowship. Welcome to co-pastors Mathias Ntiruvakure and Anicet Doronage!
