W Encourager Header
Welcome to EFC-ER's Weekly Encourager. We trust that this will become a bright spot each week in your emails. The purpose of the Weekly Encourager is to provide up-to-date information about region-wide events, prayer requests, and helpful resources from the local churches. We will close each email with a quick quote and/or survey to gather helpful resources from leaders to share with our wider Friends family.

Keeping Prayer a High Priority
We trust that every church is sharing these prayer requests within their local prayer community. Here are this week's requests:

1 - Please pray for Pastor Rodney Powell of Cornerstone Friends Church (Saxapahaw, VA) who is hospitalized following a gall bladder attack.

2 - Frank Carter requests prayer for the twin brother of former pastor Stephen Hall (previously of Cornerstone Friends). Stephen's twin, Stacy, has been diagnosed with cancer of the bile duct and is in serious condition.

3 - The EFC-NA (Evangelical Friends Church - North America) leadership  (including Dr. Wayne Evans and additional EFC-ER staff and leadership) will be meeting in California beginning Tuesday, November 3rd through Monday, November 9th. Please keep these leaders in your prayers as they continue the process of discerning the purposes and vision for EFC-NA.

A Little Extra.... QUOTE  FOR THE WEEK:

"Never underestimate the power of one well-timed compliment.  It has the power to change a person's entire perspective on life.  It has the potential to change a person's plotline for eternity.  The right word at the right time can be the catalyst for someone else's miracle."   - Mark Batterson (The Grave Robber: How Jesus Can Make Your Impossible Possible)

We hope you've enjoyed catching up with news from the EFC-ER office.
More information and news will be coming each week.
