EFC-ER Photo Contest!
We would love to see your pictures!
We've extended the photo contest deadline to October 10th. So far, we have received photos from around 10 photographers. And, many of the photos are amazing!

We'd love to see a few photos from mission trips from our other fields. Also, we' have received photos of only 10 churches. We'd love to have a photo of EVERY FRIENDS CHURCH in Eastern Region - including pictures of your facilities or worship center.

Please send photos via email to Donna Neff or, mail a flash drive or CD. The photos have been arriving from across the region.

We will be offering a prize for the following:
  1. Most photos submitted by one person
  2. Best action photo
  3. Best scenic photo
  4. Best photo representing worship
We are looking for a variety of photos to set the theme for the different types of web pages. Here's a starting point on types of photos we'd like:
  • Action photos of people out of doors
  • Children & adults interacting
  • Photos that reflect worship (in church, in nature, in prayer groups, etc.)
  • Good close-ups of faces reflecting the variety of people who attend our churches
  • Scenic views from your region of the country and around the world from mission trips
  • Scenic photos of our church buildings - we have so many different types of churches  within our church family.
  • Photos of elements of service - meals, helping in community clean up, working around the church, etc.

Keeping Prayer a High Priority
We trust that every church is sharing these prayer requests within their local prayer community. Here are this week's requests:

A Little Extra.... QUOTE  FOR THE WEEK:

"Has it ever occurred to you that one hundred pianos all tuned to the same fork are automatically tuned to each other? They are of one accord by being tuned, not to each other, but to another standard to which each one must individually bow. So one hundred worshipers met together, each one looking away to Christ, are in heart nearer to each other than they could possibly be, were they to become 'unity' conscious and turn their eyes away from God to strive for closer fellowship."
- A.W. Tozer "The Pursuit of God"

We hope you've enjoyed catching up with news from the EFC-ER office.
More information and news will be coming each week.
Please send Julia ( jmcdonald@efcer.org ) any of your suggestions, quotes,  and/or ideas for weekly encouragement .
