Welcome to EFC-ER's Weekly Encourager. We trust that this will become a bright spot each week in your emails. The purpose of the Weekly Encourager is to provide up-to-date information about region-wide events, prayer requests, and helpful resources from the local churches. We will close each email with a quick quote and/or survey to gather helpful resources from leaders to share with our wider Friends family.

EFC-ER Photo Contest!

It's not too late to send in your pictures for the new website!  We have extended the deadline to October 10th. 

They say "a picture is worth a thousand words," and we'd love to use your pictures to help tell stories on our website. Ideas for pictures include special events, mission trips, scenic views and church buildings, elements of service, and close-ups of our people. 

We will be offering prizes for the following:
  1. Most photos submitted by one person
  2. Best action photo
  3. Best scenic photo
  4. Best photo representing worship 
Please send pictures via email to Donna Neff or mail a flash drive or CD.

Missions Updates
There will be an open house at the new Missions House on Sunday, November 1, 2015 from 12:15-1:45pm. Contact Alliance Friends Church for more information at (330) 823 - 4210. 

We are looking for people who may want to help with the cost of utilities and/or rent for the house. If you are interested in giving, please contact Julie Jenkins.
Arun and Shobha Massey will be available to speak in our churches during October. 
Roy Twaddell (EFM) will visit us in October and still has a few openings to speak in churches. Consider hosting him for a smaller gathering where you can get to know him one-one-one.  
Also, Edwin and Maria Giron (Mexico) will be in the Eastern Region for a limited time in November. Check out the Giron's ministry in Mexico and watch EFM's latest video here.
