History Speaks
Camp Meenahga With Kathleen Harris
This year, History Speaks will be online! Videos will be posted on our website and on our Facebook page each Tuesday in July.

Our first program shares the history of Camp Meenahga with EHF Educator Kathleen Harris. The video will be available online beginning Tuesday, July 7, and Kathleen's book is available for purchase here. Other 2020 History Speaks programs include:

  • July 14 - The Moravians with Linda Carey
  • July 21 - Eagle Inn with Don Nelson
  • July 28 - Lights of the Lakes with Phil Block

Child's Play promotes literacy through storytelling and projects in an online format this summer. While this program is free and can be viewed online, you must preregister to pick up the complimentary craft and book each week. Your child’s name will appear on the craft. Child's Play is a collaborative program with the Door County Library - Ephraim Branch. Crafts and books may be picked up curbside on the porch in front of the EHF office, adjacent to Anderson Barn, Thursdays at 10 a.m on July 9 and July 16.

  • July 2 - Lola Plants a Garden by Anna McQuinn. Plant flowers, decorate pots, watch flowers grow!
  • July 9 - Sam and the Firefly by P.D. Eastman. Learn how fireflies light up and create a glow stick firefly!
  • July 16 - Madelyn’s Magical Door County Balloon by Sue Jarosh, guest author. Create your own Door County summer story!
