EIFS Advocacy: Strengthening Our Efforts in New York & Chicago

With growing media attention on passive house construction and its role in reducing carbon emissions, EIMA is seizing the opportunity to advance its advocacy efforts in New York City. EIMA's public affairs partners are actively working to shape policies related to New York's climate and affordable housing objectives. On July 22, EIMA distributed an eleven-page memo to stakeholders, highlighting how conventional EIFS with Drainage can effectively contribute to NYC's goals and should remain a viable option. To access the full memo, visit EIMA's Advocacy resources webpage via the link below.

Additionally, EIMA has started addressing existing EIFS restrictions in Chicago to promote a more favorable regulatory landscape. Updates on these efforts will be provided as they progress.
