EIFS Industry Leaders Gather in Atlanta for EIMA Fall Board and Working Groups Conference

Recently the EIFS Industry Members Association hosted its annual Fall Board and Working Groups Conference in Atlanta, bringing together over 50 leaders from across the industry. The event featured a packed agenda, highlighting the progress and plans of EIMA’s programmatic working groups and fostering important discussions on the future of the EIFS industry. Attendees included executives from manufacturers, associate manufacturers, distributors, contractors, and wall and ceiling organizations, making it a robust gathering of diverse expertise.



An element of the conference was EIMA’s recent selection for a $2.2 million grant from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). Dedicated sessions explored how this grant will fund the development of comprehensive Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) for the EIFS industry. Representatives from seven major EIFS manufacturers participated in these discussions, emphasizing the collaboration and commitment behind this groundbreaking initiative. The conference also featured an evening dinner, offering attendees a chance to connect informally.

Announcing Enhanced Awards Breakdown for the 2024 EIFS Excellence Awards

The EIFS Excellence Awards showcase the best and most innovative uses of Exterior Insulation and Finish Systems, celebrating both aesthetic achievement and technical ingenuity. At the heart of the competition are the Architectural Awards, which recognize the artistic and innovative application of EIFS in projects. This year, these awards will be divided into two levels:

• Awards of Merit that honor projects of noteworthy distinction
• Excellence Awards that highlight the most exceptional entries competing for top recognition

Judges may grant multiple awards in each category.

In addition, new Awards of Distinction have been added to highlight other key aspects of EIFS. The Awards of Distinction will be merit-based and are not guaranteed to be awarded in the competition.

• Performance Award celebrates engineering and complexity
• Sustainability Award honors eco-conscious design
• Mount Everest Award recognizes projects that overcame extraordinary challenges

The competition culminates with the prestigious EIFS Project of the Year, awarded to a project that has earned either an Excellence Award or an Award of Distinction, standing as the pinnacle of EIFS innovation and execution.
