The EIMA Promotion Working Group is excited to announce the launch of a new EIMA initiative: The EIFS Effect: Real Projects. Real Performance. This forward-looking case studies program is designed to shine a spotlight on the innovation, versatility, and proven performance of EIFS across a range of high-impact projects throughout North America.
The EIFS Effect will highlight how EIFS technologies are being used to deliver exceptional design, sustainability, and performance outcomes in real-world applications. Throughout the year, EIMA will publish a series of digital case studies that explore notable EIFS projects in depth. These compelling stories are designed not only to inform and inspire design professionals, but also to support broader industry advocacy by reinforcing the unique advantages EIFS brings to modern construction. | | LEED v5 Launch Sets New Standards—EIFS Ready to Lead in Energy-Efficient Design | | The U.S. Green Building Council has unveiled LEED v5, the latest evolution in sustainable building certification, emphasizing decarbonization and energy efficiency across a building’s full life cycle. LEED-certified buildings continue to deliver strong ROI—averaging 21% higher market sales prices and over 20% reductions in water, energy, and waste. With its superior insulation performance, EIFS is well-positioned to help architects and builders meet LEED v5’s aggressive efficiency and carbon reduction targets. | | EIFS and the Housing Crisis: A Critical Opportunity for Our Industry | America’s housing affordability crisis is deepening, driven by a 4-million-home shortfall and restrictive zoning that limits multifamily development—especially in states like Massachusetts. As EIMA members know, EIFS offers a powerful solution: it reduces exterior wall construction costs by up to 48% compared to traditional materials and delivers unmatched energy efficiency. With growing pressure to build affordable, sustainable housing, our industry has a unique opportunity to lead the way. Promoting EIFS as the smarter choice isn't just good business—it’s essential to addressing one of the nation’s most urgent challenges. | | EIMA Connects at AWCI's BUILD25 in Charlotte | | EIMA was pleased to attend AWCI's BUILD25—the largest wall and ceiling industry convention—held in Charlotte, NC last month. Stephen Sears represented EIMA and while there, connected with several EIMA member companies exhibiting at the show, highlighting the strong ties between EIMA and AWCI, including their shared support for the EIFS Doing It Right® educational program. Sears engaged with key representatives from EIMA member manufacturers, associates, distributors, and contractors, emphasizing the mutual commitment to advancing the EIFS industry. | | Follow EIMA on LinkedIn and Join the EIFS Conversation | | Stay connected with EIMA and the EIFS industry by following us on LinkedIn.
