EIMA Immediate Past President Steve Smithwick Honored at Members Dinner

At the EIMA Members Dinner on March 19, Immediate Past President Steve Smithwick of Master Wall was recognized for his exceptional leadership and dedication to the EIFS industry during his two terms as EIMA president. Incoming EIMA President Jose Berlingeri of Sto Corp. presented Smithwick with a commemorative plaque and a special gift on behalf of the membership, honoring his contributions and lasting impact on the association. Smithwick continues to serve as an active member of the EIMA Board of Directors.

Winners of EIFS Excellence Awards Unveiled

The distinguished winners of the 2024 EIFS Excellence Awards were announced at the EIMA Annual Meeting at a ceremony following the Members Dinner on the evening of March 19th. The awards celebrate exceptional projects clad with exterior insulation and finish systems (EIFS), renowned for their performance, sustainability, durability, and aesthetic flexibility.


“The 2024 EIFS Excellence Awards winners exemplify the best of what modern building envelopes can achieve,” the jury remarked. “These projects push the boundaries of architectural creativity while leveraging EIFS technology for superior insulation, moisture protection, and long-term durability.”

In his Executive Director’s Report to the EIMA membership, Stephen Sears highlighted the association’s significant accomplishments over the past three years, including advancements in advocacy efforts, expanded technical resources, strengthened industry partnerships, and increased awareness of EIFS as the premier cladding solution. Looking ahead, with new Board leadership in place, EIMA is poised to build on this momentum by reinforcing its commitment to sustainability and resilience.
