DID YOU KNOW... KCC topped the list of best nursing schools in Hawaiʻi for 2026 in the 10th annual rankings by RegisteredNursing.org. There were eight schools analyzed statewide, with the rankings based on the passing scores on the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses. KCC achieved 100% passing rates of its students for the past six years, said Maria Fabro, nursing program coordinator at Kaua’i Community College.

KCC Art Instructor August Graybosch and Photography Instructor Joseph Tremonti will hang a show of their student's work Opening April 1st in the PAC Gallery. The show will remain throughout April and May.

On March 12, former Hawaiʻi Supreme Court Chief Justice Mark Recktenwald, retired Kauaʻi Judge Kathleen Watanabe, and Mayor Derek Kawakami will be on the KCC campus as panelists in a discussion about civics, the different branches of government, and how voters can make a difference. The event, which will run from 2 p.m. To 3:30 p.m., is titled "Laws Make a Difference And So Can You." It is being staged by the PACE Commission, an organization whose mission is to promote and advance civic education for students and citizens throughout Hawaiʻi.

It isnʻt often that a panel of this magnitude - including a recently retired Supreme Court Chief Justice - answers questions about civics, especially at a time when it is extremely important to help educate people about civics in a democratic society. Recktenwald, who recently retired after serving 15 years as Hawaiʻi's Chief Justice, is a member of a recently formed organization called the Alliance of Former Chief Justices. It is a group of retired state chief justices whose have united to share insight into upholding constitutional principles, protecting individual rights, and ensuring courts remain impartial forums for all.

The students of KCC Culinary Dept, under the direction of Chef Steven Nakata presented a Bake and Garde Manger Sale in Fine Dining Room last Tuesday. WOW! These kids are talented!
