American Medical Women’s Associated Gender Equity EmpowHER Virtual Summit
May 14-15
12:00 PM - 4:15 PM daily
Why?
The number of women in healthcare is on the rise, but women's pay, working conditions, and representation in leadership roles continue to lag. Now, data rolling in increasingly reveals that the backsliding in gender equity caused by COVID-19 has been magnified in healthcare settings and among healthcare providers. We cannot let this trend continue!
What?
AMWA's Gender Equity EmpowHER Virtual Summit aims to gather, galvanize and activate women in medicine to focus on Gender Equity matters with renewed energy.
The summit will be kicked off by internationally acclaimed NYT best-selling author Sara Laschever, who will talk about how to win negotiations. Other featured stakeholders and experts will cover subjects ranging from implicit and explicit bias in work cultures to leading diverse, inclusive, and equitable teams, and standing up to injustice. The program will also introduce women's leadership programs and gender equity initiatives people can join to help amplify their personal impact.
