From the Director
Recently you received a letter from ELC Director, Diana Morello-DeSerio, addressing COVID-19 (Coronavirus). Below is an excerpt from the letter that was emailed last week; if you missed it please click on the link below for the letter in its entirety.

The ELC is and will continue to do routine environmental cleaning-this includes, frequently cleaning touched surfaces (e.g. Doorknobs, light switches, countertops, toys) with cleaners that are safe for children and are outlined in the Delaware Childcare Licensing Rules to be effective for the prevention of communicable disease.

Additionally, you will find a link below from Harvard with suggested tips on how to talk to your child about the Coronavirus should they have questions. You know your child best, and will need to gauge the depth of information you feel they are able to process.

Getting Ready for Kindergarten?
Last year the ELC partnered with the Delaware Readiness Team to bring a few family workshops for families with preschool age children preparing to enter kindergarten. The workshops covered several topics and were well received by the families who attended.

We are excited to bring three workshops this spring. The first workshop is scheduled for Monday, March 16 from 4-5 PM at the ELC. Please look for details to come home with your preschool child.
