Literacy on the Lagoon

The ELC participated in a summit of professionals from all areas of the community focused on youth literacy. Did you know that the ELC has a super cool summer program called Literacy on the Lagoon in partnership with the school district and the Learning Alliance? Collaboration is key to success, and we love working with our partners to make IRC the best it can be for all our residents.

ELC Executive Director, Barbara Schlitt Ford, recently spoke to Sunrise Rotary. Did you know we are available to speak to groups about ELC and other topics like the importance of the human/nature connection, the Indian River Lagoon, native plants and animals, the Florida Wildlife Corridor, and many others? We also can conduct private pontoon or kayak trips, or bird or nature walks at ELC or anywhere in the county.
