Message from Ms. Sheri
Dear Families,

We are glad that you have been a part of our program this year! Monday is the last day to make changes (withdraw or contract change) before the summer begins on June 1. (You are signed up for the summer, so if you do not plan to attend, you will need to withdraw.)

Congratulations to the Butterfly classroom for winning the Ice Cream Social with the highest fundraising total!

Ms. Kay is retiring! Please join us on the Pre-K playground on Tuesday, May 17 from 3:30-4:30 to wish Ms. Kay, well! You may enter the playground through the outside gate that is located off Franklin. There will be balloons to guide you to the event. Cards and gift cards are being accepted for Ms. Kay. All are encouraged to attend!

As the school year winds down, we say good-bye to Ms. Kay and Ms. Cynthia who have worked in the Owls classroom, and Mr. Rich who has been washing dishes for us for many years! Please wish them well on their new endeavors! Cynthia and Rich are both planning on spending more time with grandkids!

We also have several teachers who leave us for the summer, but they will return in the fall. We will say, "See you later," to Meg, Kris, Magui, Tim, Stephanie, Leilah, and Amara. Ms. Arminya will be gone for several weeks visiting her family overseas, but she will return late in the summer.

Don't forget that Pre-K students will have a half day on Tuesday, May 31.

We are excited for our last "Parents in Prayer" event on Wednesday, May 18 for our Toddler classrooms, Kangaroos and Hedgehogs. See you at 4:45 for a peak into the classrooms as well as next year's classrooms!

Happy Friday!
Sheri
Summer Withdraw Deadline is May 16
The ELC is Hiring!

St. John's is Hiring! The ELC is looking for summer teachers and assistants. Full-time and Part-time. We are also looking for a dishwasher. The Dishwasher works from 11:00-3:00. The job requires the ability to bend, lift tubs of dishes, and stand during the shift. The benefits of the job include a positive, fun environment with young children and teachers. Pay starts at $16/hour. For more information, please contact Sheri Stults, ELC Director, sheri.stults@sjdenver.org.
Ms. Kay's Retirement
We will honor Ms. Kay with a card and gift card shower to celebrate her retirement and hard work at St. John's ELC. Please join us for refreshments on Tuesday, May 17 from 3:30 to 4:30 on the Pre-K playground. If you are unable to attend, you may bring cards or gift cards to the office for Ms. Kay until May 17.
Health Forms and Immunization Records
General Health Appraisal Forms and Immunization Records are due annually. This means that when your child has a birthday, you probably go to the doctor's office for a physical. When your child has a physical or new vaccines, please request updated forms.

Carolyn Otte Retirement
We will be recognizing Carolyn's retirement from nearly 40 years of service in the ministry (including almost 30 years at St. John’s/Renewal) on Sunday, May 22 after both the 8am and 9:45am services in the St. John’s Community Room. During her tenure, Carolyn served in numerous roles including as a Teacher, Coach, Administrator and most recently as the Executive Director of Ministries here at St John’s/Renewal. Through her extraordinary gifts of community, leadership, creativity and action, she impacted hundreds of students and thousands of believers within all the communities she has served. In each role, Carolyn led with real humanity, authenticity and heart.

We encourage folks to bring a personal handwritten note, letter, card, or fun photo for Carolyn to enjoy. A basket/decorative receptacle will be available to collect these items at the reception. In addition, if you cannot attend but would like to send a note, please place it in Anne Purvis' mailbox in the church hallway or mail it Anne’s attention at St John’s Denver, 700 S. Franklin St., Denver, CO 80209.

Staff Snack Sign-up

We will put the individual snacks and drinks out for the teachers, if you will bring them at drop off or pick up! We can't have nuts and due to COVID it must be individually packaged.
