Dear ELC Families:
Our center, St. John's Lutheran Church Preschool, is participating in the Colorado Shines assessment of our program's quality to ensure that all children have access to high quality early learning experiences. We want to do the best job we can to provide your child/children with a safe, loving environment that offers many opportunities for learning. Your survey response will help us accomplish this goal.
As part of this process we ask all families to anonymously complete the following survey about how we work with you. After all surveys have been received, Colorado Shines shares the aggregated results with us in order to help us better serve your needs.
You are asked to complete a survey each time our program participates in this process.
Some of you may not have been a part of the St. John's ELC for very long, and therefore some of these questions may be a little more difficult to answer. We have attached a document here for your reference, that gives some clarity on the way we do things here at St. John's ELC. Please review the document prior to completing the survey to assist you when answering the questions.
| |
To begin your survey, please click here or you may scan the QR Code below.
Use this license number to log in: 67974
All surveys are due by: 10/31/2024
We do need a 70% return for these surveys, so your child's teachers will start asking you to complete the survey at pick-up between now and the end of the month. All survey information is available in each classroom as well as in our Parent Resource Center, just inside the main ELC doors.
Thank you for your help!

Pastor Andrew - Lead Pastor of St. John's Church
I feel so blessed to serve as Lead Pastor of St. John's Church and School! I was born and raised in Seattle, Washington. I graduated from the University of Washington with an engineering degree, but God had other plans for me to study and share God's Word. In 2009, I graduated from Concordia Seminary, St. Louis, with a Master of Divinity degree, and then served as a pastor of a church in Oregon for nine years. I am grateful that I came to the beautiful city of Denver in 2018, as I love the people of Denver and the outdoors. I married my wife, Daisy, in 2004, when we were both 24 years old, and we have four children, the youngest of whom is a Pre-Kindergarten student in the ELC. We also have a 5th grader in St. John's School and two daughters in high school, who both graduated from St. John's 8th grade.

We have wonderful and dedicated Pastors in our midst! Please take some time in October to let Pastor Andrew and Pastor PJ know how much they are appreciated. A heartfelt greeting card or note is always a great idea, but that’s not the only way to show them that they are valued. You could also give them their favorite snacks or treats, a gift card to a restaurant they enjoy, or simply volunteer your time in some way to fill a need. The possibilities are endless! Let’s bless them, because we are blessed indeed!
You are welcome to bring something to the ELC office and we can pass it along for you. You can also send either one a thoughtful email by following the links below:

Dear St. John's Families,
We are thrilled to share that, in just a few short days, we have raised $1,431.94 for Bob Jones Academy's Hurricane Helene Recovery and Relief efforts. Located in South Carolina, BJA was severely impacted by the recent hurricanes. Through a connection made by Mrs. Koester during her recent awards ceremony, we were able to offer our school’s support. Based on estimates, this generous contribution will help restore resources in one and a half classrooms, making a significant difference in their recovery. The funds have already been sent directly to assist the school.
If anyone would still like to the giving link remains open for those who would like to contribute. We are deeply grateful for your generosity and continued prayers for the Bob Jones Academy community.
Blessings,
St. John's School
