Mark your calendars for our ELC Open House for the 2026-2027 school year on Thursday, August 6th, 4-6pm! For those of you who will be continuing in the ELC for the next school year, this will be an opportunity to come in and see your child's new classroom and meet his or her teachers. We look forward to seeing you there!

Please also mark your calendars for our St. John's Church & School Annual Summer Picnic on Sunday, August 23rd following the late service! This will be a potluck with water fun, football, and fellowship for the whole family. More details to come.

Returning Key Cards

Please return your key cards to one of your child's teachers, or to someone in the ELC office, on his or her last day in the program. We will need these key cards so we can re-assign them to our new families who will be joining us for the 2026-2027 school year.

If your child will be continuing in the ELC, and/or if you have a younger child who is joining the ELC for the 2026-2027 school year, you may keep your cards for the new school year.

If we do not receive your key cards by Friday, July 31st, you will be charged $50/key card, as agreed upon with the key card policy you signed at the start of the 2025-2026 school year. Each household received two (2) key cards when you started with us, so please return both, upon your departure. Any unreturned key cards will be deactivated, even if your child is continuing onto Kindergarten here at St. John's.

Thank you for your help in continuing to keep our school, students, and staff secure!

Campus Closure

The entire St. John's campus will be CLOSED TOMORROW, June 19th. The program is not only closed for Juneteenth, but Denver Water will also be on-site working on the water pipes that lead to the facility, requiring the facility to be completely closed.

What is Juneteenth?

"See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know Him."

1 John 3:1

Greetings!

My name is Amukelani Mboweni, and I recently joined the team. I hold a Bachelor of Education degree, with majors in Psychology and Intermediate Phase Teaching. I am passionate about working with children and supporting their academic, social, and emotional development. My educational background has provided me with a strong understanding of child development, learning, and creating positive classroom environments where every child can thrive.

Outside of teaching, I enjoy reading, exploring new places, volunteering with children, and spending time with family and friends. I value kindness, patience, and building meaningful relationships, a bit of an extremist too.

I am excited to be part of this wonderful community and look forward to getting to know the students and their families throughout the year.
