Key Card Reminder
Just a reminder that your key cards will only work during our ELC drop-off and pick-up times. That is 7:30-8:45am and 3:15-5:30pm. These are programed electronically, and the time does not change. Your key cards will get you into the front school doors, the ELC entry doors, and the K-8 school hallway doors (afternoon only). To get into the front doors of the building, simply tap your key card on the black keypad to the right of the doors. The keypad should beep and flash green and the door should be unlocked for you. To get into the ELC entry doors and the K-8 hallway doors, simply tap your key card to the black sensor below the keypad. The keypad should beep three times and flash green and the door should be unlocked for you. I have made copies of each of the Key Card Policy Agreements you signed, and will be returning the original copies to your child's teacher next week. You must have a key card to get into the building. There will not always be someone in the office to let you in, if you do not have it. Thank you for your cooperation with keeping our school secure.

Visitor Policy
We are implementing a new Visitor Policy here at St. John's. If you or someone else is coming to visit during the day, outside of drop-off and pick-up times, you are required to come to the ELC office to sign-in on our Visitor Log. After signing in on the Visitor Log, you will receive a yellow lanyard with the words, "St. John's Visitor," that you will be required to wear throughout your visit. This is just another way we are working to improve our security. At the end of your visit, please come back to the main office and return your yellow lanyard. Again, we appreciate your support to keep our facility secure.
"And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Consider him who endured such opposition from sinners, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart."
-Hebrews 12:1-2
St. John's Annual Launch Night

Wednesday, August 30th
6:00 - 7:00 pm

On this special night, we will take time to reflect on our values, our faith-based education, and the unique mission that guides our school's vision. We will share about our goals for the upcoming academic year, the heart behind our theme for the year, and what we hope to be able to build together in the exciting years before us.

This is exclusively a parent-focussed evening, and we encourage parents to find alternate care for younger children. We will be meeting in the Worship Center. Please let us know if you have any questions.

Over the past several months, the St. John's K-8 and ELC communities have been offered a variety of ways to learn more about keeping our children safe. We now have the opportunity to come together as a community to learn more about how we can collectively work to keep all our children safe.

This is a must-attend workshop for people with children of all ages!

You will learn:
  • What makes children vulnerable?
  • Body-safety rules you can teach your children to keep them safe.
  • How you can talk about your child's body safety with teachers, coaches, nannies, family members, faith leaders and other parents.
Registration is $59 with a discounted early bird price of $20 for the first 45 registrants.

You can attend this via Zoom at home, or together via Zoom at St. John's.

Lunch & Childcare will be provided for those who attend in-person.
We are excited to invite you to St. John's/Renewal's annual women's conference featuring author and speaker Elyse Fitzpatrick! Elyse is the head of Women Helping Women Ministries and holds an MA in Biblical Counseling from Trinity Theological Seminary. She has authored more than two dozen books, including Because He Loves Me, Give them Grace, and Counsel from the Cross.

Sign Up for ELC Staff Snacks
The PTO would like to have volunteers bring the teachers snacks and cool drinks every other Friday morning. We will put the snacks and drinks out for the teachers, if you will bring them at drop-off or pick-up.

Please, no snacks containing nuts, as we want to be cautious of allergies in the ELC. If you bring individually packaged items, it makes it easier for the teachers to grab snacks and go back to their classrooms.

Please see the link below to sign-up for upcoming dates. Thank you all so very much for bringing special treats! It is so appreciated!
