Teacher Appreciation
Our teachers are so blessed to work with your children, and you have treated us all so well this week. We are all very thankful for your kindness, and are blessed to be a part of this community!
Summer Withdrawal
Though the ELC is open through the months of June and July, many families choose to withdraw for a number of reasons (vacations, camps, older siblings out of school, etc.). If you do plan to pull your children out for the summer months only, please submit a Summer Withdrawal Form to the office by Monday, May 15th. This will help us with summer staffing and classroom plans, as well as gives us time to communicate what we need to and make changes to your account with the accounting department.
Mr. Tim's Last Day
Many of you probably know, or have heard of, Mr. Tim. He currently works Monday, Wednesday, and Friday in our Squirrels classroom and is an active member at our church. But he also wears many other hats here at St. John's. He works with Ms. Gloria in Extended Care and Summer Camp, and works with Mr. Walton and the Middle School Youth Group, and has worked in a couple of our other ELC classrooms in the past years as well. Tim is moving across the country to be a Director of Christian Education (DCE) at a church on the east coast. He has been working at St. John's for probably 12 years, so we are all going to miss him very much. We are excited for him and where his journey will take him! God has big plans for him! Tim's last day will be next Friday, May 19th. If you have the chance, please catch him and wish him farewell sometime next week.
"Do not fear what this day, or any day, may bring your way. Concentrate on trusting Me and on doing what needs to be done. Relax in My sovereignty, remembering that I go before you, as well as with you, into each day."
Psalm 23:4
Ms. Dawnine
Hi, my name is Dawnine Haskins. The staff and students call me Ms. D. I have been a lead preschool teacher here at St. John's for the last 9 years and previously worked at Shepherd of the Hills for 10 years, teaching Pre-K and Pre-school. I am a certified Lead Preschool teacher through the state of Colorado. I am so excited to be working with Julie again this year, while continuing my role as the Parent Resource Coordinator for the ELC.

My husband Troy and I will be celebrating 28 years of marriage this fall. We have two children, a daughter, Shelby, who is 25 and is currently living in Kansas City and is in grad school studying to be a Chiropractor. She will be graduating in December! We also have a son, Josh, who is 22 and is working at being an Electrician and works for my husband's company, Haskins Electric.

In my free time I love to play golf and have joined a women’s league. I love to travel anywhere it's warm, I enjoy going to sporting events, country music concerts, doing DIY projects and remodeling my home.
It's not too late...

If you would still like to support St. John's, you can donate to the General Giving Fund. All funds will be used for security upgrades for the school.
