ELLIS ISLAND & the STATUE of LIBERTY
THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 28, 2023
Indian Summer is for many a time of reflection and new beginnings. A visit to two of our most revered and sacred national treasures is perhaps more relevant than ever before.

The STATUE OF LIBERTY, sculpted by Fredric Auguste Bartholdi, was a gift of friendship from the people of France in 1886. Between 1892 and 1954, more than twelve million immigrants were processed at nearby ELLIS ISLAND. Through photographs, artifacts, videos, and even empty rooms, we will witness some of the fascinating stories and experiences of these immigrants once they passed through this station and began life in their new homeland.

Travel by ferry from LIBERTY ISLAND PARK in New Jersey, affording great views of LOWER MANHATTAN while avoiding the crowds and traffic in NEW YORK CITY.
Your ticket will allow access and audio tours of the ELLIS ISLAND IMMIGRATION MUSEUM and the new STATUE OF LIBERTY MUSEUM, which opened in 2019. We will make a stop to pick up lunch (on your own) in JERSEY CITY before we board the ferry.
COST: $135 pp. The price includes round-trip transportation from CITY LINE AVENUE or RITTENHOUSE SQUARE, and ferry ticket including admission to ELLIS ISLAND MUSEUM and STATUE OF LIBERTY MUSEUM as described above. PAYMENT for our day trips must be made online. There are no additional fees. Please contact me by phone or email to request a private link to charge your trip. THE LINK IS NOT ON OUR WEBSITE. I am happy to help with the process. .
