NEW! York County ECE Initiative - Every Child Has Opportunities (ECHO)

Led by Community Connections for Children and York County Economic Alliance, ECHO will serve as a catalyst for innovation and collaboration and provides a blueprint for addressing the issues that limit opportunities for children, families, and early childhood educators and business owners. Various community agencies and foundations have committed over $3 million annually for the initiative.

Book Study Community of Practice

Join us for a book study community of practice for directors and experienced teachers focusing on incorporating more intentional play in the classroom. Revolving around "Play" by Lisa Murphy, participants will discuss easy and fun ways to introduce more play in the classroom, as well as the challenges we all face. PQAS hours are available for participation.

OCDEL Early Childhood Conference

March 25 - 26, 2024

Registration is now open for the Pennsylvania Office of Child Development and Early Learning (OCDEL) Early Childhood Education Conference, Stable and Secure: Supporting Children Through Trauma Sensitive Approaches. This two-day conference is scheduled for March 25-26, 2024, at the Hershey Lodge in Hershey, PA and is free for attendees. This conference is for directors and teachers of Pennsylvanian licensed child care centers, group child care, family child care homes, and after school care. Registration is limited to two staff per program.

Dolly Parton's Imagination Library

Dauphin and Perry Counties

Families with children 5 years of age and under in Dauphin and Perry counties are able to claim FREE books through Dolly Parton's Imagination Library. The program in these counties is sponsored by Catherine Hershey Schools and the Center for Advanced School Teaching and Learning (CASTL).
