Standards Week 2024 is nearly upon us as part of the Symposium in Phoenix, AZ!
On our agenda are plenty of meetings to develop and maintain critical EMC-related Standards. In addition, we have workshops and tutorials bringing in experts with the latest news about EMC Standards around the world. And we're trying a couple of new ways to say "Thank You" to all those who take the time to work on the Standards that are so critical in our technical pursuits.
We'll have working group meetings for Standards related to cable and connector assembly shielding effectiveness; shielding effectiveness of device-protecting RF fabric pouches; EMC risk management in the machine sector; power line filters; testing aircraft components for lightning direct effects, and IBIS.
We'll have workshops and tutorials covering ANSC C63®, CISPR, MIL-STD, FCC, FDA, IEEE, and other Global Standards.
To say thank you to the working group members whose efforts paid off in successfully published standards, we'll be celebrating the members of IEEE 1897 (power line gap interference) and 2718 (near field emissions from stochastic radiators) at 12:00pm on Wednesday, August 7 in the Exhibit Hall, in the Ask the Experts stage area.
Finally, we want to give everyone a chance to get away from the conference rooms to mingle and network in a more relaxed, informal way. Everyone who attends one full Standards meeting (out of the many listed in the Collateral Meeting section of the Program) will receive a ticket to a Standards Happy Hour at 4:00pm on Thursday. For the stalwart participants who make our working groups the centers of technical excellence that they are, please have a drink and snacks on us!
