The USA Team is doing great and adjusting to their surroundings in Budapest. Some members of the Half Marathon team (right picture above) jetted off to run around Budapest, while our Tennis teams (left picture above) went right to courts to begin practicing. One of our Basketball teams (bottom right picture) started off their training with a scrimmage against their other team members and our Open Women's Field Hockey team (bottom left picture) played the Netherlands today.
The Maccabi USA Team is preparing for the Opening Ceremony which will be held at 8:30 PM Budapest Time which is 2:30 PM EST. This spectacular event will be held at New Nándor Hidegkuti Stadium, the 200+ participants of Maccabi USA will join the 2,500 other Jewish athletes from around the world and march in with pride.
