This is an experimental, experiental, interactive 26 hours of telephone calls. Call in as many times as you like! Register for $97 and you'll get a PIN and phone-in number to use for all these November calls.
Mondays and Wednesdays 8am-10am PT
Tuesdays 4-5pm PT.
Additional Days:
6-8pm PT on the 6th, 20th and 26th.
What it might be like? Ask your questions, receive support for your specifi situation, empathy, accountability check-in, empathy coaching, role plays, dyad work.... Could be just you and me on the line, or could be more. This is interactive time, not "lecture". I specialize in phone connection, co-creating safe space with callers drawn to requests and offers to serve life.
I learned directly from Marshall Rosenberg, originator of the perspective and process of Nonviolent Communication.
I hope to "see" you on some calls! It would be a pleasure and honor to have you join me on these calls.

Phone Empathy Coaching Teleclasses
Deepen your competence and confidence with phone empathy through four teleseries beginning this month. I've developed a laser coaching and feedback structure to support your learning and practicing your phone empathy skills. Grow your understanding of how you are received through the clear specific feedback of what reached the empathy requester and how others experienced your empathy.
Listen to others as they practice empathizing to learn that way if you choose. No pressure! Learn in the way that works for you.
Participants have been receiving golden nuggets of understanding and skill to use in their daily lives through practice (and observing the practice) on calls and discussion within their membership groups. Really a "master class" in phone empathy!
p.s. I'm teaching these specific phone empathy skills in preparation for the Live Empathy App for smartphones currently being developed. (see below). We're anticipating a need for a lot of empathizers ready to be "live" on the app.
Join an empathy coaching teleseries now so you'll be ready to use your phone empathy skills when the time comes! There are significant differences between in-person empathy and phone empathy and practicing and learning phone empathy is our focus on these empathy coaching calls. __________________ |
Aya and Shahar & Children Appealing Denied Visa
Here is the quote, which Aya included in the latest email she sent me. I feel that surrendering loving trusting flow interacting with Aya and Shahar, which floods me with joy. It is my deep pleasure to have set up an indiegogo account to support their family in appealing their visa denial.
If it would contribute to you to contribute to them, please donate money, your time spreading the request to others who would like to help them. They have been 7 years living in this country with their three children. Help them appeal the denial with your financial support.
If you would like to offer a perk for others who donate (a piece of your art, an hour of your time, a phone session or?) email me mair@mairalight.com.

"May what I do flow from me like a river, no forcing and no holding back, the way it is with children. Then in these swelling and ebbing currents, these deepening tides moving out, returning, I will sing you as no one ever has, streaming through widening channels into the open sea."
Rainer Marie Rilke

Celebration of NVC in Kenya
Shared from Irmtraud Kauschat:
I want to celebrate something a certification candidate from Kenya shared...I am so happy to see how NVC after 7 years of hard work with different colleagues like Jan von Koert, Christiane Welk, Doris Schwab and Raj Gill and Dorset Campbell-Ross (during the IIT last year) has taking roots and is flourishing now.
I am thrilled to celebrate my success with applying NVC in our homabay county youth forum board elections. It started with two camps eying the 8 executive positions and i happened to be in one, The opponent camp was busy calling us names, hurling abuses through sms and even bribing delegates not to vote us in. As the chief organizer of our camp I convened a meeting and shared with them of the approach i would have liked us to apply so as to win. I suggested expressing how we wanted to contribute to the better living among the youths, the central role the youth have in peace building and the danger that is in creating the enemy images. It turned out that the camp adopted all the suggestions and the end result was that we won! The youths said that they voted us in because we had recognition for their needs and were real agents of peace that is instrumental in development discourse!

How to craft your ideal day by Brendon Burchard
How many ideal days have you had this week? month? year?
What did you FEEL in those days? Was it presence, peace and enthusiasm?
Generally, Brendon is talking about starting from your feelings, then what kind of things would you be doing? He's talking about designing your life so you have more days in which you (and here's what he says is common to many people):
- feel the way you want
- What activities might generate those feelings?
- know where you are going
- Do you want to create something?
- connect with the people you want to connect with
- Family, friends, colleagues...?
- contribute - know what you want to be about
- Do you want to lead, serve, support others in some way?
Brendon's mission is to write, train and inspire people to design lives of meaning, purpose, engagement, enthusiasm and satisfaction in which your general daily experience you have is that you can't wait to get up in the morning and you go to sleep at night full of gratitude for the day you just lived.
Clcik on the link above to subscribe to his youtube video channel if you are intrigued and want to learn more about what he offers.

NVC Academy Honors Inbal Kashtan
As a way of honoring Inbal, we're offering her last training with us free to anyone. She offered this Q&A session in our 2013 Parenting Conference. At the time, Inbal was in the throes of her cancer treatments and it had been her first training in a few years.
Her big heart and bright spirit shine through in this Q&A. If you've worked with Inbal in the past, and you're like us, this Q&A will be a touching memory of her. If you haven't experienced her work, this is an opportunity to be newly inspired.
Inbal will be remembered for many things, most especially her pioneering vision and work supporting parents in raising new nonviolent generations, her down-to-earth way of bringing NVC principles into everyday parenting, and the depth of compassion she lavished on parents and children alike.
To Inbal's family, we send our love and compassionate hearts for your grief.
To dear Inbal, we send our love and deepest gratitude for how you graced our lives. You will be missed by many.
If you'd like to make a donation in Inbal's memory, her family recommends the following options:
Bowing in respect,
The NVC Academy Team
Bob Garmon, Jenny Prennace, Lore Baur, Mark Schultz, Mary Mackenzie, Rachel Garmon, Stephanie Bachmann-Mattei
p.s. Please feel free to send this to others as a way of furthering honoring Inbal. Thank you.
