CALLING ALL 8th GRADE CHOIR PARENTS!
|
R
ehearsals for The Lion King Jr. have begun, and the show is going to be amazing! Mrs. Zwink, Mr. Coverstone, and all of the students are working hard. As parents, we want to support them, and the best way we can do that is to help out behind the scenes. If you have already committed to serve in one or more areas, thank you so much! We have many spaces left that need to be filled, so if you've been waiting for us to let you know where help is needed, here is your chance! Below you will find a detailed list of available volunteer areas, including ways to help out in the next couple of weeks as well as opportunities during the week of the show.
Between Now and Fall Break:
Sets - Come in on a Saturday or weeknight for an hour or two and help with painting or putting up the set
Costumes - Make a mask, put together a costume or two, sew a few choir tunics, etc.
Locker Decorations - Help make and hang the choir students' signs for their lockers
Tickets - Organize and distribute tickets
T-Shirts - Go through order forms, and help organize and distribute T-Shirts to the choir students
Posters - Hang a few posters in the schools and around town
Table decorations-Help put together themed centerpieces for the tables
The Week of the Show:
Food Committee - We need every able bodied parent to serve food at least one of the nights of the show (Bonus: you get to watch the show at the same time, too!)
Table Set-Up -Set up and tear down the tables before and after a show
If you have questions or would like to sign up to volunteer, please
click here to contact Denise Grimes. Thank you!
