Our Mastery classes are from Jeri, whom we feel is the best in the business. If you feel the need to repeat the classes, you can, because you purchased your machine at SVQ and are now a part of our “family”, and we want you as educated and comfortable as you can be. There will be no leeway time on this however, so do it in May. Before your next newsletter comes out!

The classroom will be open for an Open Sew for you on Wed. Sew on whatever you want since our regular Rulers Can Quilt, advanced, class has cancelled for the month (due to new grandbaby for Marilyn).  So come on in and sew a spell, enjoy the day with friends.

Do you want to learn more about Paper Piecing? The Friday is your day to spend with Andi. Class will focus on Flying Geese, and Andi is supplying the foundation paper piecing pattern at the class. Pick up your supply list when you sign up…it’s so short that we can even give it to you over the phone, since most things will come with the class.  

Pajama Mamas, in all their glory and smiles, will meet Friday evening, 5-11. Do some private shopping, right???

We will be closed on Monday for Memorial Day, but be back in business on Tuesday, anxious to make those end-of-the-25% off-May deals for you! And as a look-ahead, Andi will be presenting the Jumpstart Quilt Camp for you on June 2 and 3. This camp is designed to teach you the basics, like a beginner’s quilting camp. You have two days to learn and make perhaps your first quilt, and one that you can be proud of! Learn the basic techniques correctly from the get-go, then branch out into even more creative sewing areas.

Not to be forgotten, Mr. Murfee surprised me over the weekend, so much so that I checked him for a fever or not feeling up to snuff. His problem? He actually had not done anything obnoxious or screwed up for two whole days!?!?! So of course, I thought something was wrong with him. He told me not to worry, that he would be back to his old self day 3, that he was just taking his own self-imposed time out for the weekend! And that I should just enjoy the respite while he was in “Murfee…good boy” mode. I’m a lucky Mom! Will let you know how it works out for both of us! In the meantime, remember that we will be closed for Memorial Day, and we wish you a happy and safe holiday weekend. I plan to embroider 3 more Swirl placemats to complete my set. They turned out great, and I appreciate the step-by-step instruction in the class from Jan (and even classmate Marilyn when Jan was busy with other students). My embroidery BERNINA and I are even bonding ever-so-nicely! Hope to see you soon!!!
