Glitter, garters and gowns - oh my! Long time Hart House Theatre costume designer Kathleen Black is once again hard at work putting together the show stopping looks that will take over the stage this September in The Rocky Horror Show !

With inspirations flowing from Ru Paul's Drag Race and Lady Gaga, this show is undoubtedly going to be a feast for the eyes. Feel free to dress up in your own fabulous creations while attending the run of the show starting on September 27, 2019.

Check out some of her early designs and inspirations below!

August Alumni Profile: Marlene Smith

Marlene Smith is a founding member of the Hart House Theatre Standing Committee and has supported the theatre for many years. Her participation has helped to provide students with excellent co-curricular and experiential learning opportunities and has augmented the theatre’s standing in the performing arts community. She was also the producer behind the Toronto Premiere of CATS in 1985 for a two-year run!

When we asked her about the impact of Hart House Theatre she said:

"Over the years I have produced about 60 shows and have enjoyed them all. I have worked in numerous theatres throughout the city and consider our Hart House Theatre among the most important and historical theatres in the city core."
