The 2020 U of T Drama Festival Every February, a plethora of original one act plays compete for five coveted awards over the three nights of this annual adjudicated festival. The U of T Drama Festival provides a high profile showcase for up-and-coming theatrical talent as well as an accessible avenue for U of T students to perform and direct on the historic Hart House Theatre stage. This year's Festival runs Feb. 6 –8 , and marks the 18th year of only accepting original student written plays, serving as a much needed showcase for talented U of T playwrights. The 2020 Festival of Dance Call for Participants - Closing soon! Hart House Theatre proudly hosts Canada’s largest university dance festival – the U of T Festival of Dance (FoD). Created 25 years ago as an avenue to provide dance groups on campus the opportunity to perform on stage for an audience, the Festival of Dance has now grown into a celebration of the diversity and prosperity of the U of T dance community. NOW ACCEPTING SUBMISSIONS TO PARTICIPATE! We are now accepting performer applications for our 2020 show! This year's Festival will be held on March 27 & 28, 2020, and we are hoping to showcase a wide variety of dance styles and dance groups from all across the three U of T campuses, highlighting in particular current students and U of T alumni. If you would like to participate in this year's Festival, please fill out the submission form by January 31, 2020  here >>

This is a great opportunity for personal development in artistic pursuits and professional skill-building; Creative Classes are also a great way to meet new people! Film-making, theatre arts, photography and public-speaking courses are available throughout the year. Hart House is located on the downtown University of Toronto campus, but our classes are open to everyone —no prerequisite and no exams. There are two classes being run by former Hart House Theatre Artistic Director, Jeremy Hutton.
