Monday, 4/17 - Patriots' Day - Classes are still meeting today but please be advised that most staff offices will be closed for this holiday. The Library and dining hall are still open for student use today!


Monday, 4/17 - Tie Dye Day! (1pm-3pm) - Join Student Life on the Quad for a Tie Dye event from 1-3pm! We will have shirts on hand for folks to tie dye, but you are also welcome to bring your own.


Tuesday, 4/18 - Student Senate (12-1pm) - The Student Senate meets weekly in Maine Hall 118. The Student Senate is a fantastic way to get involved on campus as a student leader. We are gearing up for elections for officers for the fall term. Interested students can contact us at life@emcc.edu for more information, or come join the Senate on Tuesday! Lunch Provided


Wednesday, 4/19 - Interview Skills Lunch and Learn (12pm-1pm) - Join JMG, Student Life, and EM3C for this Lunch and Learn! Learn about resourceful interviewing Do’s and Don’ts, including an interviewing fashion show with Cathy Ryder! Maine Hall 117!


Wednesday, 4/19 - Trivia with Amy! (12pm-1pm) - Join Amy Goodson for Trivia covering literature and history! Prizes! Maine Hall 117!


Wednesday, 4/19 - The Eyrie Student Art Show (5:30pm) - J Check out student artwork and enjoy a reception with the artists! This event will be held in the EMCC Library on the 2nd floor of Katahdin Hall at the John Rohman Art Gallery!


Thursday, 4/20 - Clean Energy Jobs & Workforce Event (12pm) - Connect with the Clean Energy Partnership team for a meet and great presentation and is open to all members of the EMCC Community. This event will be held in the EMCC Library on the 2nd floor of Katahdin Hall.


Thursday, 4/20 - International & Multicultural Club (3-4pm) - The International & Multicultural Club is dedicated to connecting students of international and multicultural backgrounds together. All are welcome! Maine Hall 125.


Thursday, 4/20 - Golden Eagle Christian Fellowship (12-2pm) - Come join the GECF for one of their meetings (If this day doesn't work, they also meet at the same time, in the same place, on Fridays!). They meet in the Veterans Lounge (in the Dining Hall).


Friday, 4/21 - Sing and Strings Club (4-6pm) - A new club this semester! Located in Matheiu Auditorium of Schoodic Hall. Contact Amanda Ritz-Perkins (amanda.ritzperkins@student.emcc.edu) for more information!

Our first annual EMCC Community Garden Seed Exchange will be held in the lobby of Maine Hall April 24-27!


A seed exchange is a trade of excess seeds – but if you don’t have any to exchange, don’t worry – just come and pick up what you need! This is a chance to make sure all seeds are used, and for us all to try some new plants. Vegetables and flower seeds will be available.

 

More info to come later in the month, but if you are starting seeds indoors, start saving the left-overs!

The Johnston Gym has opened for the semester!


Please note that only students, faculty, and staff who are clear to be on campus are permitted to use the gym when it is open. The gym will remain closed to guests. Make sure to bring a Student ID with you to the Gym.
