See the latest data on cancer trends in your county, in the 2019 WI County Cancer Profiles, released today from the WI Comprehensive Cancer Control Program.

How does your county compare to state averages? Which social determinants affect cancer risk in your area? Get a detailed breakdown of cancer statistics and demographic data, in this series of easy-to-read, downloadable PDFs

The 2019 County Cancer Profiles offer public health advocates much-needed data to support evidence-based interventions in your communities. WI Cancer Council members have identified improved data dissemination as a priority across our work, and the County Cancer Profiles help to meet this critical need.

"We often hear 'where should I even start?' from members looking to do more to address cancer in their part of Wisconsin," says program director Sarah Kerch. "It is our hope the County Cancer Profiles will help answer that question. Statewide organizations can also benefit from this tool by using it to identify geographic differences in cancer prevention and control data to target their activities."

Each profile pulls together data from multiple sources, such as the WI Cancer Reporting System, the WI Immunization Registry, and the Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System. The entire series is available online at www.wicancer.org .

For questions about the 2019 County Cancer Profiles or how to use them, please contact Tina Pap.

>> Bottom line:
The 2019 County Cancer Profiles offer a snapshot of cancer outcomes, risk factors, demographic data, and social determinants for every county in Wisconsin. Use them  to increase awareness and promote thoughtful discussions about cancer's impact on your community.
