JUNE COMMUNION OFFERING: DeSoto County Dream Center
During the month of June, please give toward the Communion Offering to benefit the DeSoto County Dream Center - an organization that provides many services to help residents in need in DeSoto County to "Dream Again!"
What does the Dream Center do?
The Dream Center supports families and kids in DeSoto County through education, healthcare, food and clothing distribution. Their education program includes an elementary component for 3rd-5th grades who need assistance with reading and math skills and homework help. They also provide a leadership program for 6th-9th grade students to help develop strong character traits and help prepare them for a successful future. The center provides an invaluable resource to the community through primary health care for the working uninsured at Trinity Health Center. Their Adopt-A-Block Program ministers locally to underserved areas, meeting immediate needs, developing relationships and working toward a bright future for DeSoto County residents. They also provide an Emergency Needs Closet that provides food and clothing, and support Title 1 Schools through Dream Closets (clothing and school supplies for students), Dream Backpacks (backpacks full of food that go home with students over weekends) and Dream PTO (supporting teachers at Magnolia School, DeSoto County Alternative Center and the Juvenile Detention Center).
You can contribute online for this offering through the month at give.getwellchurch.org using the “Communion Offering” fund.
