UA Global Health Case Competition

UA would like to offer YOU the opportunity to participate in an exciting and prestigious academic team competition, the “UA Global Health Case Competition on Saturday, November 3, 2018.

Teams of 4-6 students, from different academic areas, will receive a case scenario 5 days before the competition, reflecting a real-life global health-related issue. You do not need to be a health expert to participate. Teams will have five days to “develop feasible and culturally appropriate innovations incorporating education and/or policy strategies that would involve important stakeholders from local government, the community, NGOs, and other partners you might propose.” The teams will then present their solution orally to a panel of judges.

Participants will be expected to:
  • Attend team building/orientations (2 hours each) on October 14, 2018 (11 am-1pm) AND October 21 (2:30pm-4:30pm), 2018.
  • Attend and participate in the UA competition Saturday November 3, 2018 (8:30 am-4pm) If you are interested in participating, please fill out a brief application form at the following link: UA's Global Health Case Competition APPLICATION.

Deadline to receive applications is Thursday September 24, 2018 by 4:00 pm. We will then put the teams together, reflecting as wide an array of academic specializations as possible.
