Aerodynamics for Aviators
by Mark Dusenbury, Gary Ullrich, and Shelby Balogh
This collegiate-level aerodynamics textbook covers all of the necessary information relevant to pilots, from private license through to commercial. Aerodynamics is a subject critical to pilots’ understanding of the safe maneuvering and operation of aircraft. This textbook takes the student through a basic physical principles review and vector analysis before covering the four forces in flight. Sections are dedicated to subsonic aerodynamics as well as high-speed (transonic) aerodynamics.

On Wednesday, April 25, at 5:00 pm (PDT) ASA presented its first Author Talk with airline pilot and author Capt. Kristofer Pierson. Captain Pierson discussed new regulatory requirements for pilot professional development as well as resources from the third edition of his book Pilots In Command: Your Best Trip, Every Trip that aid pilots in becoming higher-level professionals, leaders, and mentors.

ASA is grateful for the many dealers and retailers who make it possible to find our products all over the globe. Each month we feature an ASA dealer here in ENROUTE and on our website. Our Dealer of the Month for May 2023 is Marv Golden Pilot Supplies. | |
In their words:
Marv Golden Pilot Supplies® is the original online pilot destination for pilot supplies and the choice for Professional and Private Pilots for 40 years. Marv Golden pioneered Mail-Order Aviation discounting in the pages of Trade-A-Plane in 1982—40 years ago! Prior to that, if you wanted Aviation Headsets, Portable Transceivers, and other equipment you had to go to your local FBO and pay full retail!
Marv met with immediate success! The business quickly grew and we established a Retail Store at Montgomery Field in San Diego in 1989. As the business grew Marv (who is a U.S. Army veteran) felt strongly that staff for our store should include pilots and preferably retired Veterans of the U.S. Armed Forces.
Today, we are proud to employ Pilots, CFIs and other Aviation Experts, including veterans from the U.S. Navy and Air Force. Marv has always felt that our unique advantage in Aviation and Pilot Supplies is our dedication to customer service and providing value to our customers, especially since his name is on the door (and the website)!
Our experienced staff of pilots and certified flight instructors are skilled at choosing only the best aviation equipment for our well-stocked pilot store. We stand behind our products and our service, which is why we provide a 30-day money-back guarantee on all our pilot supplies. If you want only the best, Marv Golden Pilot Supplies is the pilot supply store for you.
