Since 2012, ASA has been providing the FAR/AIM and FAR-AMT apps to aviators all over the world. We are happy to announce updates to the app, which now includes contents from all three books in ASA’s FAR/AIM Series. While the previous version had regulations from only the FAR/AIM and FAR for Flight Crew, this new version adds the regulations and advisory circulars from the FAR for Aviation Maintenance Technicians.
The updated app also includes the new regulations for powered lift operations (14 CFR Part 194). The latest update adds a new feature that supports quicker access to rule changes, ensuring users always have the most current information. The user interface (UI) has been refreshed to provide a better experience, and the highlight color has been updated to sky blue.
This new release is free to existing app owners who need only update the app on their device(s) to enjoy the added features and content. New app purchasers will get the same bonus features plus the forever updates existing users have been enjoying for more than 10 years.

In the past few years, drones and air taxis have both taken their turn in the spotlight. The frequency of food and online shopping deliveries has brought drone delivery discussions to the fore, and the Paris Olympics generated talk about how air taxis could be used for large events in urban areas.* Flying cars are making test flights, and people are going into space as tourists.
